How It Works
Sodium salt of pyroglutamic acid (PCA). Major component of human NMF — comprises 12% of the free amino acid pool in stratum corneum. Highly hygroscopic, absorbing water from the atmosphere. Demonstrated superior humectancy compared to glycerin at equivalent concentrations.
